The guide to having your beauty products at hand and in the best possible condition.

Most of us love to have a complete stock of cosmetics and, to get the most out of it, it must always be impeccable.

It does not matter if we are talking about 10 or 100 products. Whatever the amount, the ideal is to have a suitable – and accessible – place for makeup.

Nobody better than the experts to tell us what to do. That is why Bettina Frúmboli and her makeup artist staff compiled 10 infallible tips to have all the beauty products in order. Take note.

CLASSIFY

Try to group your cosmetics according to the area of the face where they are used (eyes, mouth, skin), according to the time of day (day, night) and categories that work for you. A basic: separate summer and winter products.

IDENTIFY THE TYPE OF USE

We always have a favorite lipstick. Or an everyday moisturizer. Find out which ones you use most frequently and prepare a special site for them. The most daring shadow palettes, the first ones for night events and the glitter can be in the background -for now-.

  CLEAN

It is vital to take care of the hygiene of brushes , brushes, sponges, archers, eyebrow brushes or any utensil that is constantly in contact with the skin and cosmetics. The containers and shelves where you store makeup should also be kept spotless.

  ORDER

There are plenty of resources to have a very neat toiletry bag. And if it’s a shelf or dresser top, we recommend using acrylic boxes or containers to get a quick overview of your options.

  DISCARD

Every so often you have to check the expiration dates of beauty products. If it’s blurry or it was in the box you discarded, use this cosmetic expiration guide that we share on Beauty File.

  PROTECTS

Moisture and direct light can affect the qualities of certain cosmetics, limiting its useful life and its beautifying power. Take special care with those that are photosensitive such as those that contain vitamin C and perfumes.

  MAKE VISIBLE

What is not seen is not used. It is a maxim that works for almost anything. How to solve it? Use clear containers and stack so that you can always see what you have available.

  SUBSTITUTE

If a product expired or changed its initial characteristics, it is time to replace it. It is also the perfect opportunity to test alternatives or decide if it really needs to be replaced with the same one.

  GROUP

Match each utensil or makeup with others that are similar. Shadows on the one hand, blushes together, lipsticks in the same place. Not only does it help visually but it saves time when choosing (and buying).

  ORGANIZE WHILE YOU WEAR

Do not wait until the end of the routine or makeup – and less until the next day – to spruce up your makeup kit. Discard cottons and tissues after use, close each product you use and put it back in its place.
